Greetings.

A while back I picked up a Z-scale shorty chassis to see what all the talk was about.

I didn’t intend to do much with it, but decided to clean out some junk from the scrap bin,
and build a diminutive boxcab diesel from brass and styrene.

There is no real story behind it,
I just built something like a more modern AGEIR, and I gave it an EMD builder’s plate.

Perhaps a competing design.
I wanted it to feel small and cramped, so it’s no taller than a boxcar.

I wanted a little color so I went with a black and orange scheme,
with simple lettering, and an anthracite roof.

Hi Joseph

It is always a great pleasure to see your VERY miniature worlds ...

... whether on narrow rails ... or in the wide open ocean !

I was having a look at some nice 'dazzle ships' camo. schemes the other day ...

... & thought of you straight away.

What I don't quite 'get' with you Joseph ...  L:

... is that you seem to be a small-scale RUBBER GAUGER.  ;)

I count 3 different scales ... of   Nn3   Zn2   &   1:300

Did I miss any ?  :P

The diesel is a very fine looking model !

As a former N-scaler, I can imagine the 'real' size quite well.  :)

Si.

I am most amazed by the level of detail of your models.

And for some reason you always come up with models that suit my interests,
I like boxcabs and warships!

(and of course a lot of other things too...)

Thanks for the compliments!

I guess I’m a bit of a rubber gauger.

But since most of the “layouts” can be picked up easily,
I don’t really see it that way.

I’m not tearing down one to build another,
I just play with whatever I’m in the mood for.
