Hi there.
So I picked up this old 'Master Creations' kit a while back.
I always liked this assortment of structures and the backwoods sort of feel,
which fits with my layout concept.
As I have built a couple of other 'Master Creations' kits, I knew they are fraught,
the original batch (no reflection on BTS's line) especially,
and considering this is from '87, some trouble was expected.
Plans were wrong, materials short, directions vague.
Oh boy, like scratchbuilding with gremlins.
I tried to be pretty true to the basic idea,
and nice (but delicate) truck, box car and castings (including 9+ great little peoples).
Of course the box car is missing a lot of strip wood to complete,
but hey originally a great deal at $100 bucks.
Anyway a few shots of how it's all come out...

Here's a close up of the front, with roof just set in place.
Next door has a roof to be hung also...
Main building is lit, with interior details.

Here's the great little stake truck...
Delicate little casting... a lot of glue and persistence.

Overhead shot, haven't added details and dirt, foliage etc.
All that to be added as I get a chance.
Though I did get to use one of my precious Sierra West detail parts, thanks to my friend Bob Rudge.
Bless his soul...

Freight shop in back has a added stair that needs weathering and some water in the culvert.

Thanks ,
I really liked how it came out too,
and yes even at the price I paid really cool in spite of difficulties.
I haven't seen too many folks make these kits, guess I can see why...
but this one seems very realistic, many of the others get a bit more "out there".
I love the truck and I wish these were available still.
