Here the new tree armature under the first coat of paint:

With the Tulip tree wood trunk and the twigs having got a serious whole night glycerine bath, the whole has become incredibly strong.
The twigs are very flexible and would be easy to cut them to give the whole a more conventional shape wich, of course, I won't.

Here my first intent from the days when I started 'Île Du Présent'. You can see it in those days' photos still unpainted.

But even if I liked it, I realized the trunk of the mediterranean trees I wanted to model have a different bark and colours, so it has been in a side track since then

I don't know if I'll manage to modify it but I'll try soon.

It's shape is not so bad seen as part of a scene:

If someone is modeling or going to model an old French scene I suggest to see this link down to the end of the page.

Daniel,

I am fascinated by the photos you recently posted - very interesting events going on there.   I hope you will be posting perhaps some more information about where these were taken? The stone quarry and works is very interesting, as are the canal operations and scenes of town life. When and where were these taken?

Thank you for posting the photos

Keith
