Thanks for the reply Woodie. Yes, I was also in shock with the prices of Tillig track (although being a Peco fan, I am used to European prices). I am considering Tillig as they seem to be the only ones who produce dual-gauge track components.

The layout I am enamored with has a 'blending' of HO (mainline) and HOe/HOn30 (narrow gauge). The two gauges overlap at a turnout and run together into the factory at one end. I found this to be interesting...something I, personally, wouldn't have considered on my own. As you mentioned, the investment in Tillig track will be considerable...hence my trepidation.
