While I wait for this kit....And wait and wait (Getting too used to Amazon Prime ;) )
Going to give my other fisherman (woman) a catch too.

First carving the fish from a very small piece of wood.
Then some paint and crushed glitter.
A splodge of heavy gloss acrylic get for the place and place the fish in the middle.

Hi Paul

Bit of a problem with those 1600x1200 photos.

They really need to be 800x600 or 1024x768 pixels.

These 2 standard options are probably available on the Menu you use.

At the moment they are about twice as big as will fit on most peoples screens.

Nice pictures though.  :thumb:

I just need to stand 10 yards away from my computer & use binoculars to view them.  ;)

:)

Si.

Hope this size is better Si.

When the gel sets I will probably add more gel after a little dry white.

Got my RSLaser sawmill kit and started through the instructions.
I'll show some pics as I progress.

First deviation.
Instead of scribing lines in the ply floor to look like planks.
May look OK on smaller scales but in O scale real boards will look better.
Used wood dye pens to stain the floor boards.
Here they are drying.

Second deviation is a flip left to right.

Quite the mind trip.

The sawmill needs to be sited well away from falling .  .   .    T T I I M M B B E E R R  !

And out of range of any STRAY ammo !

The fishermen shouldn't be disturbed by   S C R E A M I N G   buzz-saw blades !

Mmm ... Possibly with a thought to which is the most 'interesting' side of the sawmill ... Tricky.

Or if that was 'tricky' ... It doesn't look too hard to assemble the sawmill in a slightly different way.

The log-carriage kinda being the limiting factor I suppose.

Did I dodge the question ?

I should run for office !  ;)

Paul ... I'm doing my best to 'pick a number' !

I think if I had the layout in front of me & the sawmill footprint to juggle, it would help.  :P

It's lookin' good whatever way I rec.
