Hi all, I have had a problem with putting my HOn3 locomotives and cars on the track.
On my standard gauge I used a plastic rerailer ramp.
It's a bit of an overhang on the narrow gauge equipment, so you can't easily grab the trucks to rerail them.
I heard that there was a commercially made rerailer ramp available, but I haven't seen one in many years.
I then designed this:

I designed it in Fusion 360 and printed it in PLA on my Wanhao Duplicator 4S.
It works really good.

I think I'll make it available on my Shapeways store... :)

That's a very nice re-railer Michael!

The new technologies coming onto the market now and in the future are going to open many doors for us modelers.

Micheal, how do you like the 4S? I have had a Duplicator I3Plus for a couple of years now and enjoy using it.

The 4S is great!
I've printed with it several hundred hours with no problems whatsoever.

Do you print with dual filament very often and does it complicate the programming at all?
I am considering one.

Great job!
Re-railers are tough for NG folks.
I know that for On30, a HO one with the 'wings' on the outsides of the rails doesn't seem to work very well at all for On30. I was lucky enough to find that Kato HO ones (the ones in grey plastic) work great as they only have the 'between the rails' tab portion. But I'm sure there's nothing like that which would work for HOn3.

Nah, not much, I've tried it with support material that is solved in limonene.I mostly use it to avoid having to change filaments between PLA and ABS.Just use the other extruder.
