I searched around here and didn't see this posted yet.  Thought I'd add it since it has such nice lines.  This is located at the Strasburg Railroad in Pennsylvania.  Restored by their shops.

Nice conversion of an interurban. And originally it was 3' gauge.

Isn't that what us modelers do?  Convert something to something else?

It was not an interurban conversion - the LO&S built it that way. IIRC off the top of my head, the LO&S quit about 1920. The gas car was sold and eventually was standard-gauged and wound up on the Grasse River Ry. in New York. I think that's where the Strasburg got her from. You can charter the car for a small group fan trip down the Paradise and back.

Eh, it's just an interurban with noisier propulsion.
But yes, it is a nice car.

I've ridden the Strasburg plenty of time but I've never seen this running. Oh well, in such cases, it means there's STEAM running instead, so I could hardly complain!

Lee - I visited Strasburg in November '16 and they were running regular excursions on this in addition to running the steam engine.  I signed up for the shop tour that day and was the only one who showed up.  Got a personal 2.5 hour tour.  It was awesome!
