I'm trying to finish a diorama that has several telephone poles. I thought I remembered a company that made a product that had 'weight' so the wire, once installed, had a prototype curve to it. The only product I found was EZ wire but I don't think this is the one.
Does anyone recall the name of the product mentioned above? What do you use?
Thanks
Neil

The only time I did it in HO I used one strand from some audio headphone wire. Realistic to the point of being invisible from 6" away... until it started collecting dust. Cleaning it was a major PITA. Never again. But your mileage may vary.

Are you modeling in HO? I use flexible thread for my phone wires but it is too big for HO. The nice thing about the thread is that it will "droop" realistically and if an operator's hand moves the "wrong way" then it will just give and not break. The thread is available at craft stores (JoAnn's, etc.).

You can use tippet line available from fly fishing shops. You can color it with markers for better looks. Attach with drop of super glue.

Thanks Cliff.
I'm not a fisherman so I am not familiar with tippet line. There must be a shop somewhere around here so I can take a look at it. I did look on Amazon and it comes on spools so I am wondering about the curves in it and how to get rid of them.

The material is supposed to lay very flat in the water so a to not spook the fish. It comes in various thickness. Try Bass Pro or Cabellas. Any really good fishing store should have it or try fly fishing outlets particularly. You should not have any problem with curl memory.

Thanks Clif. I might not use any electrical/telephone wires at all. I did a mock up using black threat - you can hardly see them due to the dark background of the buildings in the diorama. The thread is very thin. I'll have to decide.
BTW: Been to Colorado several times. Beautiful state. You're lucky to be there.

Keep plugging away, nothing set in stone. Funny you should comment about Colo. I grew up in Elgin and still have family there.
