Great work Damien, I like where you are heading with your mountain scene.

The mountain looks great, the railtram is excellent, BUT, I think you need a new backdrop.
Whats wrong with the curtains? LOL they are almost as good as the floral sheets i had for a backdrop....
Damien is this the final resting place for the mountain scene? If so I agree with Will a backdrop will complete your scene very nicely
Keep the great work up Damien.

Back drops, BACK DROPS BACK DROPS NO lol, i have enough trouble finding the confidence to tackle what i'm already doing, takes me months of planning before any thing gets started, then the plan gets discarded & it just happens.
And i doubt my mid 20's FEMALE land lord would allow me to paint back drops over the wall paper.
Yes Jason that is roughly the position it will stay in, far r/h corner of the room, the next 5' section spans the 6' windows.
Thanks for all replies.

Had you thought about a "panel" attached to the back of the benchwork?
Here is mine. I copied the "sample" from Backdrop warehouse and printed it out at 10.5" x 48". It is only 10.5" above the bench, but it is better than nothing.
BTW, this is part of my Orangeville Main Street diorama for one end of my layout.

Thats great Will, perhaps i shouldn't have cut the mountain profile out of the MDF, i'll work something out in the future, & leave painting of the back drop to Jo.
Cheers,
Damien.

A major rethink needed for the mountain, the slope is way too steep for anything but downhill racing and as yet no means of getting skiers back to the village.
Current thinking is perhaps a chair lift or putting a road above snow line for a ski doo service to a station halfway up the mountain.
Any suggestions will definately added to the equation.
Cheers Damien.

Thanks Will, thats where i was thinking about putting one. I have another small geared motor, it will be an easy job to turn some pulleys for the drive.
I'll think on it some more and plan where the snow line will be.
Cheers Damien.
