I have decided to buy for the next module left hand points to straghten up the mainline so high speed trains can through with ease and much beetter as well for access to platform eight which is block 6.

Blocks 3,4 and 5 to the right of the pic being the main line and suburban through island  platform with passing loop.

Blocks 6 and 7 are the temporary main line till I add on the suburban exstension stage two, a lot of fun there, stage three be five more tracks leading into four plaforms, and temporary staging yard.

Be finishing off the last two bus wires blocks 16 and siding and soldering the feeder wires to the track, running out of wire competting the approach module long last today.

Just as well the right had track of the pic after the last left hand point is where block 3 ends and block 16 starts , block 15 that has aright hand point will have plastic joiners as  thewell feeds onto block 14 the short block.

Will be controlled by signals, I make my own, haven't made three way signals, going to be fun especially when I switch over to DCC, not far way.

A closer pic of the diamond and points.

The soldering of the feeder wires to the track on the approach module is done, got the soldering of the feeder to the track done to a fine art now, the key is making sure the soldering tip isn't too hot and it is clean.

Yesterday I made good progress on the next module cut the sides and screwed in place one end and sides, these 18vot bettery circular saws are great, mine is a Ryobi middle of the range.

Today I will finish screwing the sides and end , drill one hole for the bolt and set up two of the modules so I can level tis modue, have alsocut the top of the module after this onem coming along nicely, still aiming for just before Christmas to heve the first track circuit up and running.

I have a new progect under way, my Uncle gave me all his trains and he had a few Satna Fe F7 locos, I be modelling Santa Fe's Super Chief, came across two F7/B loco shells b painting them in santa Fe colour scheme, mixed one Athearn, one lifelike and two Tyco, Tyco's be in the middle. Sadly yesterday he lost his fight with cancer and died late yesterday afternoon, this progrect be even more special now.

Spring is around the corner, winter haisn't lost it grip it is a cold windy day here 21 degrees 2 degrees over night , crazy we had on Wednesday 33 dgrees.

Hi Si, many thanks hare are some more pics to see what I did today.

We can cop some real bad storms  we are well over due for one, I have to dig out a channel to lay some dranage pipe to stop the storm water washing out our bark in the garden, before the the stormy hits and cyclones.

The first pic of the modules set up third one has being levelled

Quite happy after boltiing the last station module and approach module the tracks linned up ok, the first track on the left of the join inside a bit high rest are ok, will do a pre set up of all modules and curves before thefirst train runs.

Happy with the two modules joining up after being bolted and screwed

Looking down from the car port going to be a sit indeed all modules as set up.

The last pic on how much I had to cut out of the 100mm side, I will get the jig saw and the rest off half way along, I want to be able to put in pavers for the ply to sit on rather than gravel.

I haven't forgotten how to upload the pics from win10 to my post pure awesome.

A question Si a few weeks back I had a large win10 update and lost spell check, funny thing is spell check is working on my emails and not the forum, have to use my iPhone, miss spell check, is a settineg in the forum ,my lapot has the spell  check ticked.

Rest day tomorrow, don't think I get a chance on Monday car washing day, Tuesday I back the car out so I can set up the fourth straight module and the large 12foot quater radous curve deck ,the rest of the track decking be a lot easier only track and 6inches wide same with the curve decking some single track.

Hi Tony

I don't have Windows-10, so can't really say much about it.

If your chell-specker worked on Freerails before the Microsoft Update ...

... & stopped working after that Update ...

... all I can assume, is that it is yet another Microsoft screw up.

Nothing has changed here at Freerails & rarely does ( thank god ).

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Good you've still got the Members Gallery working for you though.

Mainly to do with uploading pics to the forum, might try it later send some pics to my son and he can send the back, win10 again.
Yeah great you sorted the posting of pics for win10 thankyou Si:Salute:.

Between now and Christmas I am working on a new project,, my Uncle before he sadly passed awasy losing the fight to cancer gave me all his trains, he has 4 F7/A Santa  Fe locos, a mixture of brands, I bought two F7/b unpainted shells to paint up as Sant Fe colour, modelling the Super Chief, sadly as well Amrtak have changed the the name to Southwest Chief.

I be getting a small plugue done to put in under the main loco be a special set indeed was pretty to him got the carriagers as well, will be the first train to run on the layout Christmas time.

We had zerro this morning winter not letting go to quickly, will make the most of the mild weather before summer hits, hope spring doen't go rignt into summer.
There are not many pics of  Santa Fe's Super Chief

Tony from cool down under, you be glad to see the  end of your summer.

Hi Tony

The Super Chief is a nice train !

I had 2 'A' units in N-scale years ago.

Didn't have the right coaches though. :f:

I do have an old Tri-ang HO F-unit now, in 'faux' Santa Fe colours ;) sort of.

I have a P.C. and a very old 10.4 OS Mac, a friend gave me.

I mostly use the vintage Mac now, as it happens.

Apple don't support it anymore of course.

But the nice people at Firefox STILL update their TenFourFox browser for it.

Any computer should work fine on the Forum.

Firefox is of course recommended.

Some 'whacky' browser set ups, may cause problems.

Macs are OK.

My main objection to them in the past, has been the excessive price tag.

I think we have reached the age of the 'disposable computer' basically.

You can now look at loads of stuff, just on a phone of course.

It depends if you have 'demanding' needs like 3D or video-editing mainly.

Then you DO have to spend a few Bucks.

Morning Si:wave:that is th e best pic I have seen on the Super Chief  had to find pics, I have always wanted to get the F7A's and B's an old loco but still RTR New ones are pretty dear to buy, this be a  special loco set indeed, waiting for the two F7/B sheels to arrive from east cost US arriving end of August, can't wait.
My laptop will have to pack up before buying a new one, another question with your mac can you post pics from the forums gallery, second backup plan is go for an IPad with a bigger screen, no DVD rom though would have to buy a portable one, a long way off .
I am putting all my efforts into the Layout, not going into a lot of scenery only  the two bridge ends and station complex.
How are you going with your layout any progress.

Hi Si, this is very interesting, spell check works on iPhone, it is win10 update that lost spell check on my lap top.
I can access  iCloud only one pic but will have to find out if I can resize pics.
If the lap top ever packed up will have a cheaper option to fall back on.
Keep you posted
