Clearances should be equal to NMRA HOn3.
The only stuff imported AFAIK is Tillig of Germany. There's a  forum for TT where you can get information

If you are still considering the idea in HO scale then you might want to look at some of the experiences of the owner of this blog.

He models in HOn42,although not NZR the issues are similar. What suits TT does not always suit this scale/gauge combination. There are some issues with bogie stock that use Kadee couplers and the minimum radius possible.
There a few trying NZR in HO. Some of them post on the Yahoo group and I am sure you will find them helpful.

NZR is mainly done in S scale so you will need to be prepared to do a lot yourself in HO.
