What an improvement to the tiles Woodie. Daniel certainly is a great source of inspiration.

Roof looks superb. You are fortunate to have friended Daniel and be able to share with him. He is a unbelievably skilled modeller ( as are you). I wish I had just a little of the patience you two have in building and then improving your scenes. Kudos.Bob

Thanks Bob, I have known Daniel for years. I own several beautiful 1:35 scale passenger cars and some On20 cars that he manufactured some time back. I warned him about being a "manufacturer" as to how his personal hobby would suffer and he found out plus he found out who his real friends were also. I will post some photos of these cars later, I don't run them any more since they are not "in keeping" with an industrial railroad.
But now, here is some "not in keeping".......

Here is what could be described as a "special movement" on the SCPA&M. Little #13 from the late Gila Tramway is hauling a load of unruly mine owners up to their properties at Pinos Altos. (at least that's my story) From a vantage point on Hairpin Curve, the photographer caught the train as it slowly runs down grade.
The 4-4-0 is a Bachmann On30 eight wheeler with larger cab, crew, and large O scale details. The open tour car is a 1:35 3-D model made by Shapeways, designed by Tom Bell. Every time I look at the car, I am still amazed at the detail it has and the fact that outside of the passengers and trucks/couplers, it was complete-RTR just needing paint! Incredible!

I remembered this old image of #13 and train on the old Gila Tram trackage which went to the cliff dwellings some ways from Mogollon. Above the train is the old Caldwell Escarpment and the Lost Scotchman mine. Ahhh, those sunny days and Springtime.

And here is a view of the cliff dwellings themselves...

The small turntable in the distance was "recycled" for the SCPA&M at the end of the line in Pinos Altos.

The present taller stack make #13 look even smaller now. And there's nothing like outdoor light for better photos. Nicely done in both cases.
Makes me think I should do what I've seen others do and build a small portable diorama to photograph models on outside on one of the three sunny days we get each year in Blighty!
P.S. I see from the latest photo that the taller stack isn't that new.

And here's a look at the open tour car, the work of Tom Bell and Shapeways. I believe that this is probably the ONLY 1:35 scale version of the car. Just beautiful work by both parties. All she needed was underframe, paint, and "passengers"...

Just look at the detail!

An Anasazi railroad depot.
Not something you see modeled everyday.
Loving it.

Not having anything to do today, I got to lookin' at some old photos and this one has always been a favorite. Yes, it's on the old Mogollon Railway but most of the figures and the loco, # 4, are still around. The little 4 wheel caboose met an untimely fate down in the concrete canyon.
