The only comment that I will make about the title of this thread, is that Bill lives there----

Hi Herb,

Yes I live in Texas along with more then just a few others on this Forum.

Doing a quick "goggle search I found this very old train forum comment about this Garratt:

http://ngdiscussion.net/phorum/read.php?1,10778,10816

This was posted back on June 18, 2001, by Brian Norden. and contains a bit of information about this specific Garratt. This was not where the current pictures came from

The organizers of the NNGC for Houston 2015, I think, are trying to get this Garratt on their "visit to" list of places to go during the convention.

A chance to see this Garratt is enough to get me on a road trip to the Houston NNGC.

Ok Herb,

I need a little help, again.

We sure don't have high taxes.

Bill--

The title of your post is "Taxas" Garratt

Freudian slip? You just posted that you don't have high taxes--

I'll fix it later today when I have a little more time.

Just having a little fun at your expense. At least you know that I do read your posts.

Herb

Is this the Garratt that "lives" near Houston? I'm not in any groups for such and probably won't be at the corn-vention in Houston. I guess that I can live with the fact that I have a "Texas Garratt" anyway. Looks pretty cool, however.

Hi Woodie,

Yes, this is the Garratt that "lives" in the Houston, Tx area and it does look very cool.
