OK then, the gauntlet has been tossed down! Maybe not just yet...but my razor saw and Tenax glue stands ready. What shall I do with the extra nice spoked wheels, etc. included in the kit? And the carbine in the leather holster...well, most everybody has guns in Mogollon.

Si-I agree about the Tamiya VS MiniArt kits..however, I already have the MA and would have to buy the Tam kit. Whacha gonna do? I really don't need any more bikes on the layout so this is a great way to get rid of unbuilt stuff. Sides' it will be cool...whenever I get to it.

Having started the Mini Art kit, I can tell you that it has some of the SMALLEST & FIDDLYEST parts I have seen and this thing is 1:35 scale! When I get through, it may NOT have every teeny little part on it...a couple joined the other "details" in the workshop carpet! With that said, I am determined to build this stinkin' thing. And NO, it will not be powered, just a piece of static "scenery" which will be lost somewhere out there on the layout. More later or when I get tired of this craziness.

Hi Woodie
Just give up NOW, before you go TOTALY INSANE !
First part I took off the sprue, for my MiniArt truck...
...BUSTED !...
...& I am pretty carefull these days.
You will end up with microscopic photo-etched parts...
...PERMANENTLY glued to your thumbs.
469 parts for a truck...
...are you sure ?
I'm gonna build a MiniArt Harley one day...
...just to know what INSANITY is like.
But for now; my suitable for ages 3+ Tamiya kit is in the mail.
The postman always rings twice
Cheers
Si.
This is what happens, throwing gauntlets around the place !
( don't try wearing them, whilst assembling the Harley )

I found the teeny parts in the carpet but will refrain from adding details that won't be seen anyway so it's all for naught! Those nice spoked wheels will look great at the Motor Bike shop, hanging on the wall. I forsee building the frame for the RR wheels from brass so the thing will be less prone to be mangled while I "finish" the job. Photos will be following after I finish this bottle of Jack Daniels...hic....
Woodie
BTW-my buddy Mopman says that I am already insane
