" ***OK, OK... I will post some more photos of #7 at work. Hold on."

I can't possibly "Hold on" any longer Sonny !  :old dude:

I've always fancied a nice No.7 spot myself.  :bg:

Came close again this last Christmas ... and  n  e  a  r  l  y  .   .    .     :P

... but not quite got one.  :f:

Anyway I have to have something to 'dream' about right ?  ;)

Never did get that update from Woodie  :cb:  promised back in 2013 ...  :P

... so I happened to round up a couple of snaps of No.7 I liked from the Freerails files ...

... to DROOL over, along with Dougs artics. !

Stretching her legs on the 'Silver City' line ... ( &  L   K  there's Woodie famous bandsaw in the background ! )  :P

WOW ! ... 2-4-4-2 ... Now there's some numbers I'd like in my life ...  :thumb:

... one day maybe.

:moose: :moose: :moose: :moose: :moose:

Stay tuned...the 2-4-4-2 is destined to become a "T".
Running a tender first train is kind of dicey.
So to be able to use the turntables at either end of the line, a tank loco would fit just right.
Besides, I needed something to goof with.
A Malleyer is more useful anyway.

Woodie

Howdy Woodie  :cb:

Loosing the front wheels like the Swiss did here ^^ on this Mallet Tank is not a bad idea for 'compactness'.  L:

Looks like your loco is set for   e  v  e  n   more ...   Meta - morpho - sis

Nice !  :thumb:

The 'T' sounds good to me !  :java: :)

Si, the lead truck will be retained and the trailing truck will be extended a bit further back.
She's running now but I need to fabricate the side tanks (like those above) and some other craaap.
The Li-Po batteries will be in the side tanks and the receiver is in the rear fuel bunker.
Nice thing is that she will now fit on the turntables and the tender can be used for another bit of craziness.
Photos when I get around to it...or maybe a square toit.

OK, she's got a ways to go but here is the T GS & B's new 2-4-4-2t, fresh from the shop.

Junk, crew, weathering, and whatever I can think to stick on her.
Plus the required details like water hatches, coal load, lettering...stuff.
She runs great just like always, but now #5 can fit on the turntables and run the "proper" way back & forth.
I put a larger spoke wheel in the rear truck, we'll see how that works out.
The side tanks have 400 mAh Li-Poly batteries (one each side),
which may get wired together when I figger out if it will work and not blow up in my face!
The receiver board is in the fuel bunker and the cab is full of wires...for the moment.
Maybe the meta-morpho-sis is complete.
The unused tender will be used as a water car, I need another one anyway.
BTW, this could be done to a DC or DCC lokie, if there are any fellows or ladies who so desire.

Here is a photo of an operating standard gauge 2-4-4-2 at Garibaldi, Oregon on the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad.
It is famous Skookum which was recently rebuilt after sitting in pieces,
after being cut up and hauled out after overturning on the Deep River Railroad in 1955.
It was moved to several locations over the years and finally sent to the Oregon Scenic Railroad where it was finally restored.

After some special excursions in the next weeks it will be moved to Willits, California to its new home.

Here is a link of it in operation at Garibaldi, OR recently:
