Those are some nice videos of what looks like some fantastic modeling. I wish I could say I was going but I'm not. Thanks for the post!

Howdy convention goers. I never go to conventions but they are a much loved part of the hobby. Charley-my friend Joe Bostick is going all the way from Greenville, TX, look him up if you dare. Joe B builds HOn30 and has a wonderful layout with the smallest itsy bitsy locos you have ever seen (outside of N and Z). Ya'll have fun and post some photos.

fellers..

Funny thing..I went to a string of them..NGNC...it became much like any other train show..my perspective..?..then they went to Detroit....I Uuum ........personally .......don't have much interest in going to Detroit..

Then Durango...nice..but it seemed like it was getting a bit crowded..hotels in Durango....?..

I  have since ridden the Silverton train..and thought it fine as dandelion wine..

This is not all / only sour grapes..and these places have nice people / great modellers..and those willing to do service to put the things on...

I will go to Seattle..the year it is right for me..the place is do-able..

And I have three wagons to shew..that sort a makes me feel a bit of participant in these...

I will look forward to meeting those who are going..and I enjoy the ride on scales of late..

I won't be going to Seattle. It's too bad too because some of those layouts look amazing, Pioche & Western, Skagit Valley & Eastern, Pelican Bay Railway, Consolidated Republic Mining Co, etc.

However I do plan on going to the 2013 NNGC in Pasadena. http://www.33rdnngc.com/

I won't make it to Seattle, darn it! (But I just heard last week that the 2014 NG Convention is slated for here in Kansas City....)

If the Good Lord's willing, I'll sure be at that one!!!
