Thought I would post some updated scenery shots.

Have added about 225 trees to this part of the layout.

Tug leaving ore dock

Towards the On18 mine tram engine house.

New hand laid On18 trackwork is being installed here.

Turnouts (2) are also hand laid and 50% complete.

Ore cars in the bottom left are Grandt and MDC.

This is the Clearshot No.1 and the ore buckets are from the No.2 & No.3.

Tug  is a scratch build.

Sylvan Models HO hull with freelanced superstructure.

The ore is Leaverite.

The pic below is of Miner Stop Station.

It is a scratch built station using Yorke castings left over from a previous build.

Nice Clif---VERY nice.

That ore dock has a lot of Dolly Varden flavor about it!

 Clif,

Outstanding scenery on the layout !!! How big is it, and do you have  more photos of it.

PS.Really like the backdrop !!!! These shots screams "Narrow Gauge Railroading".

Things are moving slowly as usual.
I did succeed in adding an addition to my shop for painting and whatever.

Well after some friends input the whatever turned into building a HO switching layout that is about 17 feet long and 2 foot deep.
When I tired of working on the On30, I move to the other one and build something there.

The HO bug bit me because I have been building a lot of things for three other guys layouts.
The big project was the 7 foot long HO scale great lakes ore boat.

Hi Clif

Funny you should say that.

Looking for a slight difference to 2' narrow gauge...

...my attention turned to an HO switching layout !

A couple of chunks of wood & a pile of switches at present.

But we are moving in the right direction, whilst continuing with the 2' stuff.

PIX ! PIX ! PIX !

Go on Clif, gis a peek at your HO empire ... Please ! :bg:

The  layout is purely switching.
Nothing bigger than GP-9's and a couple of 2-8-2's when I want to  back date things.
Iceing dock for reefers, grain elevators, pier/dock, and rail to water barge area.

The bench work is all in with cabinet valance.
The cork and turn outs are down and getting ready for flex track.
I should paint the backdrop in next though.
