I just received my copy of Slim Gauge Cars from Carstens and all I can says is that Chris Lane has outdone himself with this complete makeover of a timeless reference.

If you didn't pre-order a copy and have any interest in building your own narrow gauge cars, then get to the hobby shop or order on-line.

I spent a 1/2 hour briefing through this but with all the material it will take me days.  And it will be an invaluable tool in my On30IMA cars website. :2t:

I got the chance to talk with Chris about this book too and it wasn't out yet at the time but the preview pages he had made it look pretty good. I was waiting for my LHS to get a few copies in stock and I was going to check it out for myself. The price was pretty reasonable as well too.
