I really like your palm trees. I had to do palms for my Miami layout (1/29 scale) and experimented with a number of methods. That layout is in storage now but soon I hope to begin reconstruction. I'll need to rebuild some of the scenery and I'd like to know more about how you make your palms.
What are you using for the palm branches? What scale are your trees? ( I am working in a sale 3 times HO. )

Unk-I believe the scale is 1:35..close enough for ya? Man, if I was doing a layout with palm trees, I would follow these directions. Pretty stinkin' realistic! Not to say that your palm trees aren't realistic..there are probably different types of palm trees, I like both. I am going to research the Gila Rim in New Mexico and if there is a possibility that these trees grow somewhere there, I will make some myself.
So much to think about, the mind boggles.....Woodie

I use wire and grass making this palm tree and in 1:35 scale. The tree about 25cm. high. Have a nice day to all.
