Mario Rapinett has added photos of the Aussie Narrow Gauge Convention on his site.

There you can view Dan and Johns Dolly Varden as well as Geoff Knotte's Muskrat run and other show highlights.

Be warned....if you have never visited Mario's site before.....be sure you have a lot of time to lose.  :bg:  ;)

He has photos from the best of the best posted there.

:) If any have go to this site for the Aussie convention photos, have you looked at the "Have a laugh on me" section. There are some great jokes there!

Is Dan Pickard of Geelong, Victoria. part of this thread or even part of this forum?

I have picked up Dan's link to my blog and reciprocated but am unable to contact him.

If anyone is aware of Dan, please help, my PM should function.

Thanks

Tim,
Hi, what can I do for you?
Sorry if you hadn't been able to contact me via my blog, but I tried to disable some parts of it due to frequent spamming that kept appearing.

Its an old thread being posted on again Sean, and I know Mario is doing a gradual overhaul of his website. As time allows, he may get around to revising this page and a link.

Cheers

Hi Sean and all,
Mario is rebuilding his site at present. His previous setup got too unmanageable so a lot of his old links no longer work.

If you are interested in Australian Conventions have a look at http://www.freerails.com/view_topic.php?id=4108&forum_id=17&highlight=australian+narrow+gauge+convention for photos of the 2013 Melbourne Convention.

Dan Pickard managed to get some video up of that one
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQOjXNiGnig

For a teaser of what went on at the Bowral 2015 Convention over Easter have a look at the following

http://www.austnarrowgaugeconvention.com/previous-conventions/
and
http://www.nmra.org.au/Layout_Tours/ANGC%202015/index.html
and Dan Pickard's blog at
http://danpickard.blogspot.com.au/2015/04/the-12th-australian-narrow-gauge.html

If there is any interest I may volunteer to put up some of my photos on here sometime next week..

Wow! I dont have time right now to fully flip through all those links, but I skimmed through the first one! Simply amazing! Each model more impressive than the last!

Really looking forward to going through those with a fine tooth comb tomorrow when I get home from work!

Thank you!
