Great Bob! Are both critters on the same freq? That would be a hoot to be able to run both, double header, with some cars. Man, you have become the "critter king" and I can't wait to see them up close & running to the mines around Mogollon. Are you gonna have l&p couplers on both? If so, then you will be able to run some side dumpers up to the Lost Scotchman Mine beyond the Caldwell Escarpment.
I love them, bring them over sometime.

They are the same frequency but use separate channels so one transmitter runs both. I changed the set up for this one so I could make a smaller cab. I’m using a 3 volt CR123A battery. I can switch between L&P couplers and Kadee couplers just like the first one.

Bob-is that battery a Lithium-Ion battery for cameras? If so, I found that they last one heck of a long time. I used these (CR-2) in some stuff and the batteries outlasted the model! I had one On30 railtruck with a CR-2 and the battery lasted over a year...and I ran the truck a good bit. Looks like a plan to me.

You’re right Woodie. They do last a long time.
I’ve made a little progress on the loco. It’s still mainly taped together. That’s a recycled roof. It needs to be a bit longer.

Hey Bob
Congratulations on a great spread in Carl Arendt's Dec Scrapbook. Very appropriate that it was under the heading of "Bright Ideas"!
Correct me if I'm wrong but you used the power leads to a steering servo to power a second engine motor. Right?
Well done!
Brian

Sorry, I backed up a few steps and I see that's what you did.
Great stuff!
