Yes, I know it's not a contest to find the least esthetically pleasing rail car, but if it were, I'd have a submission here. This is one of several "speeders" built to operate on the PGE (Portland General Electric) Little Sandy River Flume railroad. This one and one of it's sisters are currently held in the care of the OERHS (Oregon Electric Railway Historical Society). This photo is from a training session for volunteer operators (aka motormen) this past summer on the Willamette Shore Trolley (ex-SP Jefferson Street branch) between Portland and Lake Oswego.
