My understanding is that GE cut the components for trucks like this out of steel plate with a cutting torch, so you don't actually see rounded edges.

Just for fun, here's a shot of a truck sideframe on WP&Y 90: My understanding is that GE cut the components for trucks like this out of steel plate with a cutting torch, so you don't actually see rounded edges.
