p.s. I ask because I have a piece of ocean harbour I need to add to a layout. I had been toying with the idea of using a sheet of plexiglass as the base and adding clear latex caulk in thin layers to build up waves possibly tinting the layers to achieve the transluscent effect seen with larger waves? Will the silicone based caulk take tinting with any sort of paint? I like the water effect you have achieved on your layout. Geoff Nott ( not certain about the name spelling) from Oz via his MR article on waterfalls is the person who first lead me to consider using caulk for water.
